Seminars at the 2010 show

FOR GROWERS - Come in from the cold
Apart from the nursery manager's wet weather clothes cupboard, cold stores are an area of the nursery that are often under utilised. There has been much research work carried out on the storing of ornamental crops to extend despatch periods, hold back advanced crops and more, showing that a cold store can be an important part of the production plan.
With this as a back drop the workshop at will focus on cold stores and their role in ornamental production, using the HOC HNS Cold Storage guide as a foundation. A mixture of talks and practical sessions on the care of plants in a cold store will be available, duplicated in the morning and afternoon.

FOR RETAILERS - DISPLAY WELL, SELL WELL
Well known and respected business consultant, Neville Stein will be showing visitors how to create retail plant displays that will not only enhance the customer experience but dramatically increase the sales of plants.
In this fast moving workshop, Neville will consider how to determine if your displays are profitable enough, how to improve the linked sales and cross sales opportunities and how to theme your displays.
He will also look at the best and worst examples of point of sale. So, if you want to increase your plant sales then this workshop is a must. Cost per attendee to Eastgro is only £10 per person for a two-hour workshop. To avoid disappointment pre book your place by clicking here.
